Dr Daniel Bates, B.Sc (Hons), M.Sc, EngD, CPA, EPA

Dan is a Chartered Patent Attorney, a European Patent Attorney, a UK Trade Mark Attorney and a UK Design Attorney. Dan is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, and a member of the Institute of Physics. Dan has a Doctorate of Engineering, a Masters degree in Engineering Business Management, and an Honours degree in Physics. He is also the inventor for three patent families on new non-destructive testing procedures which resulted from his Doctorate studies. Dan also has comprehensive experience of lasers, semiconductors, macro-molecular physics, particle physics, acoustics, atmospheric dynamics, mechanical engineering devices, and advanced composite materials. Matthew Allen, B.Sc, M.Sc, EPA

Matthew obtained a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London, and a Masters degree in Management of Intellectual Property Law, before joining one of the top UK firms of patent and trademark attorneys. Matthew is a registered European Patent Attorney, a UK Design and Trademark Attorney, and Member of the UK Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA), and runs his own practice as well as acting as a consultant to Ogive Intellectual Property Ltd. Dr Michael Ellis, B.Sc (Hons), MBA, PhD, CPA, EPA

Michael Ellis is a Chartered Patent Attorney, a European Patent Attorney, and a UK Design and Trademark Attorney, and was recently awarded an MBA (distinction) from Imperial College London. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Michael gained a PhD from the University of Nottingham through his research in the field of medicinal chemistry in the synthesis of potential anti-tumour drugs within the Cancer Research Campaign Laboratories, headed by Professor Malcolm Stevens.
